Roots of card games can be traced back to 9th century China. They spread to Persia, most likely through the trade via Silk Road, then to Egypt and after that – to Europe. Today’s design of cards is result of many changes, and it seems that every nation where card games were popular, had to add something of their own. For example, the Queen was finally included in the deck by French, the Joker was introduced in United States. Myriad of different games can be played with cards – Poker, Rummy, Blackjack, War… Either way, cards are excellent way to spend some good time with your family or friends. If no one is around, you can always play solitaire (patience.)
